Monstra te esse matrem
About a hundred rooms, a deconsecrated chapel with an organ and long, often icy hallways.
With these photographs I took my first steps into the then unknown world of photography. Fifteen years later we can perhaps speak of a photographic document.
At that time I was fortunate to be able to work in a fascinating location, a former monastery hospital. About a hundred rooms, a deconsecrated chapel with an organ and long, often icy hallways.
I learned to see the light and developed my style. I discovered the expressive power of the photographic portrait and laid the groundwork for future work. Dozens of people passed in front of the camera. I dedicate this series to all of them.
My main portfolio consists of (partially) nude images. To protect my work and as a token of respect to the people I’ve worked with I do not share these images publicly. Collectors can request a full catalog.
